When your pets need someone in the middle of the day

A long workday, a late meeting, a weekend away. Your pets still need dinner, a potty break and a clean litter box on time.

A drop-in visit keeps them home, in their own routine, with a sitter Hope knows personally and trained. You’ll know who’s coming before each visit, and you get a text and a photo when your sitter leaves, so you’re not left guessing.

A day that runs long

Your dog shouldn’t have to wait until you get home. Your sitter comes by for the potty break and a little company.

A dose that can’t slip

Medication schedules go into the written care plan, with doses and times, and each visit is planned around them.

Cats who’d rather stay put

Many cats do best at home. Your sitter handles food, water and litter, and gives shy cats the space they need.

Not knowing how it went

After every drop-in you get a text and a photo. If something seems off, Hope tells you right away.

What clients say about Hope’s updates

What a drop-in includes

Every visit follows your care plan

Before the first visit, Hope or one of her sitters meets your pets at a free walkthrough and writes down their routine. Each drop-in then looks like this.

  1. Arrive

Your sitter lets themselves in, says hello and checks that your pets and the house look the way they should.

  2. Feed and refresh

Meals at the usual time, fresh water, and any medications on the schedule in your care plan.

  3. Clean up

A potty break or short time outside for dogs, litter scooped for cats, and any messes taken care of.

  4. Report back

Before leaving, your sitter sends you a text and a photo so you know how your pets are doing.

Away overnight? Pets who shouldn’t be alone all night may do better with overnight pet sitting, and many clients pair the two.

Fish, birds and reptiles can be added to the plan too.

Drop-ins or an overnight?

Drop-ins work well for workdays, short trips and pets who are happy on their own between visits.

Seniors, anxious dogs and pets with tight medical schedules often need someone there through the night. Hope specializes in blind and deaf dogs, diabetic pets, pets with cancer and feral cats, and will tell you honestly which option fits.

Drop-in visit questions

What happens during a drop-in visit?

Your sitter feeds your pets, refreshes their water, takes dogs out for a potty break, scoops litter and follows any medication schedule in your care plan. Then they send you a text and a photo.

How much do drop-in visits cost?

Drop-in rates depend on your pets and what they need. Hope confirms your rate at the free walkthrough, so you know it before you book.

Will I hear from my sitter after each visit?

Yes. You get a text and a photo after every drop-in. If anything seems off with your pet or your home, Hope contacts you right away.

My pet takes medication. Can drop-ins work?

Medication schedules are written into the care plan with doses and times. Tell Hope exactly what your pet needs at the walkthrough and she’ll tell you honestly what she can do.

Should I book drop-ins or an overnight?

Drop-ins suit workdays and short trips. If your pet shouldn’t be alone overnight, an overnight sit is usually the better fit, and the two can be combined.
