A Louisville dog walker who knows your dog
Weekday walks in Louisville with Hope or a walker she trained, on a 10-foot leash, followed by a photo text.

What a Louisville workday means for your dog
You head out on US 36 or toward the Northwest Parkway. Your dog stays behind and watches the door until you get back.
A walk in the middle of the day gives that wait a break. Your walker picks up the leash at the hour you choose and keeps to the streets and paths your dog is used to, whether that’s a loop through Steel Ranch or a few quiet blocks near Old Town.
An afternoon that drags
Dogs left from breakfast to dinner get restless, bored or uncomfortable. A leashed outing at noon splits the day in two.
Rules you’d rather not break
Louisville doesn’t accept an e-collar in place of a real leash, and dogs are banned at Harper Lake. Every walker on Hope’s team knows where your dog is allowed.
Mesa wind and summer sun
Davidson Mesa is open and exposed. On hot or blustery days your walker chooses a shorter, more sheltered route and lets you know.
New faces at your door
No strangers from an app. Every walker is someone Hope knows and trained, you’ll know who’s coming before each walk, and you can ask for the same walker again.
Dog owners on how Hope looks after their dogs
We needed a pet sitter with plenty of love, patience, and experience. Hope took exceptional care of both of our dogs. She contacted us whenever she had a question…
She was dependable, trustworthy, and kept us updated with messages and photos…
From first hello to a weekly walk routine
Setting up regular walks in Louisville takes one visit and a few notes. After that, the routine runs on the days you choose.
Visit
Hope or one of her walkers stops by your Louisville home for free, meets your dog and watches how they act on the leash.
Choose
Together you pick the route, the walk length and the weekdays. Off-leash play only goes in if you want it.
Head out
On walk days your walker lets themselves in, clips the leash on and keeps your dog close on shared paths.
Report
Back at home, your walker refills the water and sends a picture with a line about how your dog did.

The route you already use comes first. These city rules and spots shape the rest of the plan.
- A physical leash on every city path, with no e-collar standing in for it
- Davidson Mesa loop walks, with the off-leash area by McCaslin and Washington used only with your OK
- The Bella Vista Drive dog park, open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., if you approve it
- No visits to Harper Lake, since dogs aren’t allowed in its wildlife sanctuary
- Calm residential blocks for puppies, seniors and nervous dogs
Louisville dog walking questions
Can my dog wear an e-collar instead of a leash in Louisville?
No. The city says an electronic collar doesn’t count as a leash. Outside the two off-leash areas, your walker keeps your dog on a physical leash no longer than 10 feet.
Will you walk my dog at Harper Lake?
No. Dogs aren’t permitted in the Leon Wurl Wildlife Sanctuary at Harper Lake, so Hope plans the route somewhere else.
What does a dog walker in Louisville cost?
New clients save 20% on their first booking of walks. The pet care cost calculator shows an estimate for your schedule, and the rate is set at the free walkthrough.
Can the walk include the dog park?
Only if you put it in the care plan. Your walker can use the Community Park dog park or the Davidson Mesa off-leash area during their open hours. Without your say-so, walks stay on leash.
My dog is old or has a health condition. Can Hope still walk them?
Usually, yes. Hope specializes in senior, blind and deaf dogs and slows the walk to match. Share what your dog needs at the walkthrough and she’ll tell you honestly what she can do.
